Weekend Writing: Literary Valentine's Day Cards
Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to celebrate our love for one another. You can choose to deliver flowers, chocolate, or heartfelt cards and notes. Do you remember the days in elementary school when you would exchange valentines to everyone in your class? You didn't worry about what others thought. You simply wanted to give your friends a cute card.
You can still exchange cute, meaningful valentines to your loved ones. Because I'm an avid literature fan, I will always encourage you to use literary quotes in whichever way possible. This includes adding literary quotes to your Valentine's Day cards. It shouldn't be surprising to you that some of the best writings are about love and romance.
Just in case you need some inspiration for your upcoming Valentine's Day cards, this blog post provides a few free cards you can easily print off and use. Your cards don't have to be perfect; it's the thought that counts. Your special someone will appreciate it, no matter what.
Because it's from you.
"You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." - Jane Austen, "Pride and Prejudice"
"At this lips' touch she blossomed for him like a flower and the incarnation was complete." - F. Scott Fitzgerald, "The Great Gatsby"
"We loved with a love that was more than love." - Edgar Allan Poe, "Annabel Lee"
"Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same." - Emily Bronte, "Wuthering Heights"
"I look at you and I would rather look at you than all the portraits in the world." - Frank O'Hara, "Having a Coke With You"

Hopefully, you'll have fun sharing these romantic literary quotes with your loved ones. Celebrate your love with others. Send traditional Valentine's Day cards and have a joyful time with the special people in your life.
